INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1/2 small red onion
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 4 oz. fontina cheese, shredded

DIRECTIONS

  • Place large cookie sheet in 475°F. oven. In large bowl, toss asparagus, trimmed and thinly sliced on an angle; red onion, very thinly sliced, olive oil, and black pepper.
  • Stretch and roll out pizza dough into 12 inch circle on large sheet parchment paper.
  • Top dough with cheese, then asparagus mixture.
  • Remove hot cookie sheet from oven. Carefully slide parchment with dough onto cookie sheet. Place in oven; bake 20 to 25 minutes or until bottom and edges are deep golden brown.
