INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 pounds beef chuck roast, sliced thin across the grain
  • 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 Tbl. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 Tbl catsup or chili sauce
  • Dash Tabasco
  • 2 Tbl. dry sherry
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 Tbl. hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 green onion, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  • Mix together all ingredients except chuck roast to make a marinade.
  • Add chuck roast strips to marinade and mix well to coat all parts of beef strips.
  • Marinate beef strips for at least 30 minutes.
  • Spread beef strips over flat oven proof baking sheet, spacing to prevent overlapping. Broil quickly on one side, just until lightly browned.
