INGREDIENTS

  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbl. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbl. dry sherry or water
  • 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 4 Tbl. bread crumbs
  • 4 lean pork chops, trimmed

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine all ingredients except bread crumbs and pork chops and mix well to combine. Place the bread crumbs onto a platter or object large enough to allow the chops, flat, to be pressed into the bread crumbs.
  • Spray a sheet pan with cooking spray. Dip each pork chop into the egg mixture, coating both sides. Place each chop on top of the bread crumbs and press to coat each side well.
  • After each chop is dipped and coated, place them on the sheet pan with a couple of inches between each chop.
  • Place the sheet pan of chops onto the middle rack of the heated oven. Cook the chops for 30 minutes. Turn the chops over and cook for another 20 minutes. Check the chops with a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of each chop. Remove from oven at 165°F for well done. (The chops will continue to cook once removed from the oven.)
