INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

DIRECTIONS

  • In medium mixing bowl combine all ingredients. Divide mixture into 6 equal portions. Form each portion into 3 1/2 to 4 inch diameter patty.
  • Cook hamburger patties as you would normally.
  • The patties may be stuffed by: Follow the recipe above, except form hamburger mixture into twelve 3 1/2-inch diameter patties. On each of 6 patties place 1 tablespoon shredded Cheddar cheese, leaving 1/2 inch around the edges. Top with remaining patties. Pinch the edges together to seal. Cook as normal.
