INGREDIENTS

  • 1 head bok choy
  • 1 Tbl. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, cut at 1/4 inch bias
  • 1 Tbl. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

DIRECTIONS

  • Cut off the bottom of the bok choy stalk so individual leaves may be separated. Wash each leaf to remove any dirt particles. Pat the leaves dry.
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 1/2 teaspoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the bok choy leaves and turn to coat with the olive oil. Sauté the leaves until the green parts wilt. Cover the skillet with a lid.
  • In a bowl combine 1 1/2 teaspoons of olive oil, the garlic, shallots, soy sauce, sesame oil and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour the garlic mixture over the bok choy and turn and rotate the bok choy to coat well with the garlic mixture. Cover and continue to cook, stirring occasionally. Cook until bok choy is tender. Serve and enjoy.
