INGREDIENTS

  • 6 lobster tails (1/2 pound each), fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup melted butter or margarine, divided in half
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Paprika
  • 10 to 12 lettuce leaves, rinsed and drained

DIRECTIONS

  • Thaw lobster if frozen. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pan-cut lobster tails by cutting off the under shell, leaving the tail fan and upper shell in place. Place lobster, shell side down, on baking sheet; add garlic powder and salt to 1/2 cup butter and brush onto lobster meat; sprinkle with paprika.
  • Cover tails completely with damp lettuce leaves and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until lobster meat is opaque and tender.
  • Discard lettuce leaves. Serve with remaining melted butter.
