Wine Fried Chicken Recipe lightly sautees the chicken and then braises the chicken in sauterne wine and cream to create this deliciously tasty chicken recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • Whole chicken, cut up
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 3/4 cup sauterne wine
  • 1/2 cups cream (sweet or sour)

DIRECTIONS

  • Season chicken as desired but do not flour.
  • In skillet, heat the butter and the oil. Add the chicken and brown thoroughly on all sides.
  • Add the wine; cover tightly and simmer for 20 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
  • Add the cream, heat again and serve on a platter with the wine-and-cream gravy poured over the chicken.
