INGREDIENTS

  • 1 gallon Kikkoman teriyaki sauce (lot cheaper than glaze)
  • 1 1/2 cups corn starch
  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup liquid margarine, or melted butter or margarine
  • 6 cups pineapple juice

DIRECTIONS

  • Put teriyaki into rather large pot and heat on medium heat. Pour sugar into teriyaki and mix to dissolve sugar. Add liquid margarine and juice.
  • In a bowl, dissolve corn starch in just enough cold water to dissolve corn starch.
  • Add corn starch solution to pot and stir.
  • Leave on heat until teriyaki sticks to back of a spoon. If necessary,continue adding 1/4 cup corn starch dissolved in water, at a time until teriyaki thickens. Leave on heat between additions to give teriyaki time to thicken.
