Sauteed Shrimp Recipe is best with fresh raw shrimp but canned or previously cooked shrimp may be used with this tasty shrimp recipe.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. raw shrimp
  • 2 Tbl. Butter
  • Parsley, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  • Remove shells from shrimp if using fresh shrimp. If using fresh shrimp, using a sharp knife carefully cut down the back of the shrimp and remove the vein or use a vein removal tool.
  • Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat; do not brown butter.
  • Add shrimp to heated butter and stir to coat shrimp with butter. As shrimp heat, they will begin to turn reddish-orange. Cook shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes - be careful to not over cook!
  • Remove to serve platter and pour heated butter over shrimp. Sprinkle shrimp with chopped parsley to garnish. Serve with mixture of melted butter flavored with pepper and lemon juice or with tartar and/or cocktail sauce.
