INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Dash black pepper
  • Dash red pepper
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • Flour
  • Butter
  • 6 cups beef stock
  • 1/2 cup toasted bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbl tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbl chopped parsley

DIRECTIONS

  • Mince onion. Combine lamb, pork, onion, salt, peppers, nutmeg and eggs; mix well.
  • Form meat mixture into small balls; roll balls in flour.
  • Melt butter in frypan. Add meatballs; cook until evenly browned.
  • Heat stock in kettle; add crumbs, tomato sauce, parsley, meatballs and pan juices. Simmer for 15 minutes.
