INGREDIENTS

  • Unpeeled shrimp
  • Soy sauce, enough to marinate shrimp
  • Chinese Mustard - recipe follows
  • Red Sauce - recipe follows
  • For Chinese Mustard:
  • 1/4 cup dry English mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp salad oil
  • For Red Sauce:
  • 2 Tbl ketchup
  • 3 Tbl chili sauce
  • 3 Tbl horseradish
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Dash hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  • For Shrimp: marinate shrimp in soy sauce for several minutes. Thread shrimp on skewers. Broil over coals until done, turning frequently. Remove shells; dip into Chinese Mustard or Red Sauce.
  • For Chinese Mustard: Mix mustard with 1/4 cup boiling water; blend well. Add salt and oil, stirring to combine thoroughly.
  • For Red Sauce: Combine ketchup, chili sauce and horseradish in a mixing bowl. Stir in lemon juice and hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper; mix well.
