INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tbl. Honey
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbl. garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbl. ginger, grated
  • 1 Tbl. sesame oil
  • green onion, chopped for garnish
  • 1 cup long grain rice

DIRECTIONS

  • Brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess grease. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Cook rice according to package instructions.
  • Combine remaining ingredients except sesame oil and green onions. About 3 or 4 minutes before rice is done, return meat to medium heat. Add soy sauce mixture to the meat and stir to coat meat with sauce. Continue cooking until sauce has been totally incorporated into the meat.
  • To serve, place serving of rice onto a plate, top with meat mixture, drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with chopped green onion.
