INGREDIENTS

  • 1 whole pineapple
  • 2 (7 oz) cans of tuna
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh pitted cherries

DIRECTIONS

  • Stand 1 whole pineapple on flat end on board; slice in half lengthwise. Slice both pieces in half lengthwise. Remove fruit from each quarter, reserving shell and discarding core. Chop fruit.
  • Combine two 7-ounce cans tuna, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger and 1/2 teaspoon salt in mixing bowl. Add chopped fruit and 1 cup fresh pitted cherries; mix well.
  • Spoon into reserved pineapple shells; chill before serving.
