INGREDIENTS

  • For the Dressing:
  • 1/2 teaspoon beef-flavored gravy base
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 to 8 drops bottled hot pepper sauce
  • For the Salad:
  • 6 cups torn mixed salad greens
  • 4 cups torn fresh spinach
  • 1 16-ounce can artichoke hearts, chilled, drained, and halved
  • 1/4 cup sliced radishes

DIRECTIONS

  • For dressing, dissolve gravy base in 1/4 cup hot water; blend into mayonnaise. Stir in garlic, curry, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce. Chill.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in large salad bowl. Toss lettuce mixture lightly with dressing.
