INGREDIENTS

  • 2 lb. ground beef, lean
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup onion. minced
  • 1/4 cup canned evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup, divided in half
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cups Corn Flakes crushed finely

DIRECTIONS

  • In a large bowl, with your hands, mix the ground beef, beaten eggs, 1/2 the onion soup mix, onion, garlic powder, 1/3 cup ketchup, pepper, evaporated milk, and crushed corn flakes.
  • Place onto a greased baking dish with sides and form into a loaf. Mix remaining ketchup, and brown sugar and pour over loaf.
  • Cover tight with foil and bake 350°F for 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 15-25 minutes (or until fully cooked). When finished cooking, remove from baking dish right away.
