INGREDIENTS

  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbl. butter

DIRECTIONS

  • Wash the cabbage, chop it fine, and boil for seven minutes. Some people consider the core (the solid stem like part) of the cabbage to be undesirable - consideration should be given to removing and discarding the core.
  • Peel and boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them.
  • Drain the cabbage thoroughly, mix with the potatoes.
  • Add the seasonings and mix well.
