INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (92% lean)
  • 1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tsp. ground chipotle chile
  • 2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 lb. spaghetti, cooked
  • 4 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced

DIRECTIONS

  • In 7- to 8-qt. slow cooker bowl, combine beef, beans, tomato sauce, onion, brown sugar, cocoa, chipotle, cumin, cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp. each salt and black pepper; stir together, breaking up ground beef. Replace lid and cook on Low 6 hrs.
  • When ready to serve, spoon over spaghetti. Top with Cheddar and green onions.
