INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 mild green chiles, roasted, peeled , and cut into strips
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves
  • 2 to 3 pounds steak (choose your favorite cut), barbecued or broiled

DIRECTIONS

  • Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the onion and garlic until soft. Add chiles and tomatoes and saute briefly until soft. Stir in cilantro and keep warm.
  • Barbecue the steaks to individual preference and serve topped with the sauteed chile-tomato mixture.
